The Rich History of the World’s First Industrialized Country
The land where Queens of history dwelled, the one with the fragrance of scotch in the countryside, the land with Thames and Chocolates, UK is a pack of all the beauties a human could desire. With its rich architecture and its revolutionary past, the UK has always been one of the most fantastic places for me to dream of.
Having achieved this dream, it felt like I’d lived my best days again. I went to the UK a couple of months before, and I can’t forget how that trip made me feel. I started my journey from London, waking up with the view of the London Eye and Big Ben outside my window.
I got to the nearest café and had myself Coffee and Croissant to start the day. I took a tram and went sightseeing exploring the extravagant architecture, and listening to the tales while watching sculptures and paintings in the marvelous museums of the city. From Buckingham Palace to Hampton Court Palace, as well as the Tower of London, all these sites proved the hype of this dwelling city of Royals.
I also took a two-hour drive to Stonehenge to see the mysterious archeological masterpiece. I also visited Jurassic Coast and encountered the picturesque white cliffs of Dover, and natural beaches filled with million years old fossils. The place literally gave me some out-of-the-world vibes. Back in London, I commuted in the Tubes throughout the city and had a great time while shopping for fine stuff, eating fine food, and seeing fine places of this finest city of the World during my 4 days stay there.
I then headed to the city of York- another touristic attraction for its medieval and Roman architecture, and its radiating aura one can sense while walking down the streets of this bustling city, with extraordinary monuments made by the humans of the past. After York, I traveled to Oxford city. The drive across the countryside of England made the journey itself a very overwhelming experience. I was so taken away by the overall decorativeness of the country, with vast green fields, fancy mansions, streetside cafes and bookstores, and the aesthetic elements of Urban lives, including double decker buses, and gorgeously dressed people.
I reached Oxford and was immediately overwhelmed by the environs of the town. Visiting Oxford University, one of the oldest and greatest universities in the world, and spending time on its campus, the one I had only seen before in my favorite fantasy films, including Harry Potter, the encounter to the place was something unimaginable.
I was quite lucky to have got enough time to visit the wondrous Bodleian Library, which dwells more than 10 million volumes. It was an experience like I’ve never had before. And that’s why I called the UK a pack of everything a human mind could desire. With a flavor of modern life, the abundance of elements from the past, as well as the enthralling and vibrant landscapes, and the diversity of well-kept words of humans from the past, the UK is a world itself.
Coming back from my trip to this land of Roses and Royals felt like waking up from one of the most aesthetically pleasing dreams of mine.
